Skawks are the birds that patrol the world of Utaia. They will and do eat anything they can take down. The only living thing on Utaia they will not eat are the Demkii, though if threatened will attempt to kill them as well. Skawks are on average 4.5 ft in height and over 8 ft long and 2 ft wide.They have feather crested heads and feathery fan shaped tails, with leathery bodies and wide thin leathery wings, and an average wing span of 14-15 ft. The have long curved beaks and even longer curved talons, both used for gripping and ripping. Their eyes have three lids to help protect their incredible eyesight. Skawks nest in the treacherous Niverid mountains and are masters of their environment being able to use a chameleon changing effect. When in flight they take on light grey to blue colors but when they land the colors change to tans and dusty yellows.
