Troxen are believed to be mutated oxen that have the same abilities as camels when it comes to the metabolism of fat to water usage. They look like huge Musk Ox but are not of that family. Troxen are large averaging at 1100 lbs per beast and have thick heavy coats which help in the conservation of water. They have large heavy horns and feet like camels to help in shifting sand. Their noses have flaps to keep sand out and moisture inside. Long hairy ears. Their eyes are large and have very long thick lashes which help to keep sand and grit out. The Troxen can eat anything and do. They mostly survive on the scrub plants of the desert but eat insects, rodents, birds etc. Because they are omnivorous they have fangs in the front and flat teeth in the back. Their front teeth are sharp and pointed and something to be wary of. Troxen are almost all a dull dark brown, with rare blacks and once in a very rare year a white one. The Nomadii almost revere their troxen and as such will never willing part with any of their stock believing that outsiders should not own them.
