Jonjons are a part of the insect life of the Saname desert. Resembling in appearance a scarab beetle. Their shells are highly iridescent and prized for use in jewelery as they come in a variety of colors including blues, greens, reds and purple. They are hand size and very prolific. The cities do their best to eradicate them because if one is crushed they give off a horrendous smell that permeates every crevice and is very difficult to erase.
