She
is from the city state of Ashira and the name Payne was given to her
once she was properly tamed and re-educated. She is a mutant, one with
rare and to some views, wondrous abilities. The ability to create pain
in others. She has the ability to use electrical energy found in her
environment and cause pain much like an electric eel does. This ability
is desired by city lords who wish to interrogate and or punish those
they suspect. She is a tool and nothing more. Tamed by the Black Dragon
Clan, experts in interrogation training. She earned her mark at the age
of 17, taking four years to be tamed.
Her other odd mutant
ability is the ability to take in any poison and break it down inside of
her body rendering it harmless. Thus she is also and excellent taster.
Because of her odd ability with touch she always wears very fine supple
kid gloves. Her hands are always covered unless she is working and then
of course she lays her bare hands on her victims. It has been discovered
just recently that she possesses a latent ether activated ability. The
ability to see into the past as if she were living it. She is completely
unaware of this ability at the moment.
Her contract has been
purchased by the leader of Nuasis, one Abel Helvarion. Which means he
owns her outright and has complete say over her. Though Abel owns her
she is and always will be Black Dragon Clan and the Ashiran Doom Lord
has some hold on her still. Interrogators bearing the Black Dragon Clan
mark are guaranteed to perform expertly for their masters. She is
trained to even die for her master if the need should arrive.
Apparently
the conditioning was not as skillfully performed as the clan had hoped
and had taken measures to retrieve her from her current position, but
during the act of trying to take Abel's life he was able to use his
abilities to enter her mind and undo some of the conditioning. For now
she is as originally intended to be, a useful tool for the Sovereign.
History:
She
has no history and no family before the age of thirteen. Once an
individual is claimed by the Black Dragon Clan, their past is erased,
their name taken from them and they are but tools trained to perform.
