Pulling the reins of Elo she scanned the unforgiving desert. She let her hand drop to her lap, disappointment apparent in her sloped shoulders. She sent hand motions to her warrior companions and urged Elo, her sturdy camel, to move forward. She did not relish returning to Nuasis and facing Yuki once again with her failure. Her men were tired but loyal as they followed along with her, trained eyes searching the unforgiving terrain. Each knowing she looked for Abel not only for the Lady Yuki but for herself as well. The men knew that Cassidy secretly loved the man but because of their laws she never acted upon that love. Instead she kept him as friend and encouraged Yuki to marry him. Again her eyes scanned the desert and the setting sun offered no glimmer of hope. Her father was with the clan and disapproved of her spending precious resources on this quest but he too knew of Cassidy's love for the man who could never ever be hers., and so with silent disapproval allowed this search. He would have to decide if they the clan would still support the now struggling city of Nuasis.

the trained eyes of Cassandras men if given the right focus and time would have been able to pick up fresh tracks from a hound some ways away, the tracks fresh enough that sand, displaced from their imprintation, would still be rolling down the lower part of the dune. the tracks led up and over the dune where, nessled at the top, a cloaked figure sat alone in the sands. the figure was faceing them and watching, judgeing on the figures comforted state atop the dune, it may have watched them come from the distance and cross the front of his vision. he made little indication to greet or shun the group of men and the women atop the camel. Cains form would soon be directly aganst the setting sun, he did this so it was harder to see him, but if he had a desire not to be seen, he wouldnt be sitting so openly and aganst the sky. his attention turned to his four-legged companion. "yes, i know the sun is setting..." the hound shoved his armored snout against Cains head. "calm down" the hound huffed and fell in a heap apparently out of boredum and laid its head down while watching with some iritatiion at the group of travelers that kept him inavertantly from going to bed early
